Day 1

Friday, May 10, 2019 - Harrogate to Lincolnshire

Departing Harrogate after ExploreGB, make the short journey to Lincolnshire, where the educational itinerary begins. On arrival check into your hotel for the night, before heading out for dinner at the White Hart Restaurant Grille.

Day 2

Saturday, May 11, 2019 - Lincoln to The Norfolk Broads

Start the day with a walking tour of Lincoln. The hotel is located in Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter so what better way to start than with a guided tour of this 700 year old gothic church. Then, join Cycle England for a 2 hour long bike ride before stopping for lunch and the Peterwood hotel.

After lunch, the coach will collect you and bring you down to Martham in Norfolk to enjoy a Broads National Park Boat trip, including a cream tea part way through the afternoon. Relax and unwind as you experience the charm of sailing on traditional sailing yachts on the stunning inland waters of the Norfolk Broads.

Transfer to the Hotel Cromwell where you will spend the night, check in and refresh for dinner.

Day 3

Sunday, May 12, 2019 - The Norfolk Broads to Kent

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of Stevenage before jumping on the coach to Knebworth House, Park and Gardens. Dramatic turrets, domes and gargoyles await on a guided tour of Knebworth House. But, despite what its façade may suggest, this isn’t a Victorian estate. In fact, Knebworth dates back over 500 years and exploring its rooms offers a walk through time. As for the grounds, 28 acres of colourful borders and fine trees await.

Heading further east, what better way to explore the Norfolk Broads than by enjoying a trip with Oliver’s Sailing Holidays? Oliver’s offer the unique opportunity to step on board ‘Seabreeze’, ‘Bright Spark’ or “Dreamtime” – their three sailing yachts, and embark upon an authentic broads sailing adventure.

Transfer back to Brandshatch Place Hotel where you will dine and spend the night.

Monday, May 13, 2019 - Kent

On the final day of the itinerary board the coach to Penshurst Place where you will take a guided tour of a building that has stood in the historic village of Penshurst since the 14th century. You will also be able to explore the extensive gardens and grounds, which are some of the oldest recorded in private ownership!

Less than an hour’s drive from Penshurst, and hidden deep in the Garden of England, is Hush Heath Estate – home to award winning English sparkling wine, Balfour Brut Rosé. Since its beginnings, the Estate has grown its product range substantially and now boasts an exquisite selection of wines and ciders. Enjoy a tour and tasting before boarding the coach to the airport for your journey home.
