Today begins with one of the best food tours in the country, in Malton – with the chance to sample artisan cheese, chocolate and craft beer.
Back to York, there’s the chance to discover this lively city bursting with rich history, fascinating ghost walks and a vast selection of bars and restaurants. The York Pass gives access to some of the very best attractions, with no need to queue for tickets at each one, from Clifford’s Tower to the Jorvik Viking Centre.
Offering tapas-style traditional Yorkshire dishes, Mr P’s Curious Tavern is an atmospheric spot to have dinner. Its Grade II-listed surrounds are full of history, providing a fascinating contrast against its innovative dining concept.
The Original Ghost Walk of York is a great way to finish the day in this historic city. From psychic investigations to woeful tales of ragged child phantoms, hooded spectres and mysterious apparations, the darkest parts of York’s past are brought to life with this tour.

Taking in the iconic sights of York Minister, The Shambles, Clifford’s Tower, and the city walls, it also gives the opportunity to learn about key events and notable figures in the city’s history.
For a historically rich and tasty tour through time, Tours in a Dish give the chance to sample fresh scones, get involved in a cheese and tea pairing workshop, sip Yorkshire coffee and gorge on some authentic Korean snacks.

A Yorkshire Appetite Food Tour gives a taste of Harrogate in more way than one! Combining historical commentary with some of the town’s best cuisine, it’s a chance to sample some of the town’s finest including toffee, fish and chips and artisanal ice cream.
A tour of the Black Sheep Brewery guarantees a quintessential Yorkshire beer experience. The traditional brewery can be seen in action with a visit to the fermenting rooms, where visitors will learn how the award-winning beers are brewed, and of course get to try a few of the famous beers back in the bar.
Rudding Park Hotel is a haven of tranquility, with 90 guestrooms, a spa, private cinema, two golf courses and 300 acres of manicured gardens.
