White Castle Vineyard is situated in the beautiful rolling countryside of Monmouthshire. Your clients are warmly invited to visit us and experience the beauty and tranquillity of our rural setting.
White Castle Vineyard is owned by Robb and Nicola Merchant, in the village of Llanvetherine close to the towns of Abergavenny and Monmouth. The 5 acre vineyard is planted on a gentle south facing slope that is ideal for growing vines and ripening grapes for Welsh wine.
White Castle Vineyard is dedicated to producing a variety of quality welsh wines using first class viticultural practices.
Your clients are warmly invited to visit White castle Vineyard. We offer a conducted vineyard tour followed by wine tasting at 3.00pm Friday – Sunday & Bank holidays. We can also open for tours Monday - Thursday by prior arrangement.
Guided by one of the owners, the tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and covers the early beginnings of the vineyard, through to planting, grape quantities, varieties and yields. On returning to the cellar door we then conduct a wine tasting of four of our quality Welsh wines.
Our Welsh cheese platters are available by prior arrangement.
The Cellar door is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Bank holidays between 10.00am - 5.00pm for wine tasting, wine purchases and Gifts.
There is also the renovated 16th century Croft Barn on our Vineyard which we use as a learning space for heritage and viticulture activities.
