This train, which has been hailed as one of Lonely Planet’s “Super Sleeper Trains” travels between London Euston and either the lowlands (Edinburgh and Glasgow) or the Highlands (Aberdeen, Inverness, Fort William).
From mid-2018, The Caledonian Sleeper will take a leap forward thanks to an investment of over £100 million in 75 new state of the art carriages. New features will include hotel style key card entry system, rooms with double beds, upgraded facilities for phone and gadget charging, and a Highland-sourced food menu. With booking available a year before departure, guests can make their reservation well in advance, so that they can arrange the rest of their trip.
