India B2B Approach

Travel trade plays an important role in influencing consumers’ choice of destination in India – it is identified in the India strategy to raise Britain’s level of engagement with the travel trade.

The India market strategy identifies image, travel trade, product and access as the four main areas of focus to increase arrivals into the UK from India.

We will continue to actively engage with the travel trade to address the key focus areas of image, product and access jointly through our strategic partners. We’ll also appraise the trade on opportunities to work with VisitBritain and expand the BritAgent footprint across both metros & Tier 2 cities in India.

We appreciate & value the importance of travel trade in the India market and will be focusing on and continuing to work with the trade extending our activity to Tier 2 cities, holding training sessions on UK destinations and the latest tourism products and experiences on offer.

We very much encourage the Indian travel trade to use the tools we have created. This site is a specialist tool for travel agents and tour operators, and is the go-to-place for sample itineraries, accommodation updates, as well as a UK supplier directory and practical information on visiting the UK.

VisitBritain has also revamped its image ‘bank’ that the trade can use to download destination images for use on their website, brochures and other collateral by registering on www.visitbritainimages.com

Global Panorama Showcase

VisitBritain India has partnered with the Global Panorama Showcase this year, which is an 8 –city Travel Trade show reaching out to over 800-1000 buyers and Travel Trade professionals per city. This year’s edition so far has witnessed a bigger reach and impact in 3 cities till now, namely Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Ahmadabad. And 5 more cities are to be covered over the next month.

As part of VisitBritain’s India strategy this year, to  increase reach in Tier II cities and focus on inspiring Travel Trade to look to the UK as the ‘world’s most unexpected island’ and their next travel destination to offer, this trade show fits perfectly to help enter the Tier II markets and break myths to change perceptions & inspire the India Traveller to look to the UK for unique and offbeat experiences.
