Britain is eager to welcome visitors again, but it’s important that we open up carefully and responsibly. For that reason, access to services and facilities could be restricted for a while and we want to help you and your clients get the necessary information to plan future trips as easily as possible.  We are delighted to announce the launch of a UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark, in partnership with the national tourism organisations of Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for tourism as the sector slowly reopens.  The ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard and ‘Know Before You Go’ is our activity to support tourism to Britain in this early stage of recovery. Through these standards, businesses across the tourism sector can demonstrate that they are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and confirm they have the required processes in place.

As the international response to the Covid-19 pandemic continues, public health and safety continues to be the UK Government’s priority. With global travel at a virtual standstill, VisitBritain had planned for the likelihood that we would not see international visitors in any great numbers until later this year.  Our priority is to insure that tourism rebounds to once again become one of the most successful sectors of the UK economy. We continue to work closely with the tourism industry and the UK Government.  We will also be working with the international travel trade so that they are ready to sell Britain again when restrictions are lifted. North America Market Approach and Resources

The North America B2B approach supports the overall mission of VisitBritain by promoting Great Britain as the top tourist destination for American and Canadian travellers.

Our travel trade strategy is to work with key local intermediaries (tour operators and travel agent consortia) as well as the UK tourism industry in order to generate incremental visits as well as increase visitor value and volume throughout London, England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Our B2B approach synergizes with the US marketing and PR strategy.
